Head to Nessus for some Exotics

Destiny 2 Xur

If you played Destiny, you may be familiar with Xur, the weekly Exotic item merchant. In Destiny 2, he’s back, and he now appears all over the map. This week, you can find Xur on Nessus, hanging out on the back deck of Calus’ golden barge.

Xur’s inventory this week consists of the following:

  • The Colony, grenade launcher: 29 Legendary Shards
  • Shards of Galanor, Hunter arms: 23 Legendary Shards
  • ACD/0 Feedback Fence, Titan arms: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Chromatic Fire, Warlock chest: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Isochronal Engram: 97 Legendary Shards
  • Invitation quest: 9 Legendary Shards

Xur’s inventory caps out at 731 if you’re 750. He also offers specific rolls on each armor piece each week, giving out different perks for the same pieces.

The Colony

The Colony is a new grenade launcher introduced in the Curse of Osiris expansion. Its exotic perk, Insectoid Robot Grenades, causes missed shots to turn into little robots that track down nearby enemies. Its secondary perk, Serve the Colony, automatically reloads the clip if the weapon is stowed for a short period of time.

This gun is extremely fun to use and packs a punch in PvP. Like Sweet Business, Coldheart and a few other weapons in Destiny 2, The Colony really feels like it earns its exotic title. It’s unique and a blast to carry around with you on a regular basis. No matter what you enjoy doing in Destiny 2, Legendary Shards spent on The Colony will be Shards well spent.

Shards of Galanor

Shards of Galanor is still one of the best Hunter Exotics in the game, even after multiple nerfs. Shards’ Exotic perk is Sharp Edges, which refunds Super energy depending on how many blades you hit with Blade Barrage. The Super refund is capped, so you’ll never get the entire thing back. But it’s a great way to Super a bit more every Strike or Crucible match you play. If you’re a Hunter, don’t miss out on these gauntlets.

This week’s roll:

Slot 1: Bow Reloader, Enhanced Impact Induction, Enhanced Hand Cannon Loader

Slot 2: Rocket Launcher Scavenger, Sniper Rifle Scavenger

ACD/0 Feedback Fence

The Titan exotics are the ACD/0 Feedback Fence. These gauntlets have the exotic perk Fury Conductors, which causes melee kills to build up energy. When you get hit with a melee attack, you release that energy in an explosion. Feedback Fence got a buff earlier this year, making them pretty useful in the Crucible. While there are plenty of other good Crucible options for Titans, don’t let these completely slip past your gaze.

This week’s roll:

Slot 1: Pulse Rifle Loader, Sidearm Loader, Momentum Transfer

Slot 2: Sniper Rifle Scavenger, Machine Gun Scavenger

Chromatic Fire

Chromatic Fire is a new Warlock exotic added in Forsaken. Its exotic perk is Crystalline Transistor. Getting precision kills with your Kinetic weapon creates an elemental explosion — like the Dragonfly perk — based on your current subclass. This perk is useful if you’re fighting large groups of enemies at once, or need extra elemental help against enemies.

This week’s roll:

Slot 1: Unflinching Fusion Rifle Aim, Unflinching Hand Cannon Aim, Unflinching Sniper Aim

Slot 2: Bow Reserves, Special Ammo Finder

Invitation

If you haven’t completed the Invitation quest yet, Xur is still offering it for nine Legendary Shards.
