If you played Destiny, you may be familiar with Xur, the weekly Exotic item merchant. In Destiny 2, he’s back, and he now appears all over the map. This week, you can find Xur on Io, just north of the Giant’s Scar, standing in a cave.
Xur’s inventory this week consists of the following:
- Lord of Wolves, shotgun: 29 Legendary Shards
- St0mp-EE5, Hunter legs: 23 Legendary Shards
- Dunemarchers, Titan legs: 23 Legendary Shards
- Sanguine Alchemy, Warlock chest: 23 Legendary Shards
- Isochronal Engram: 97 Legendary Shards
- Invitation quest: 9 Legendary Shards
Xur’s inventory caps out at 941 if you’re 960.
Lord of Wolves
Lord of Wolves is a Forsaken shotgun, usually coming from Spider bounties. Its Exotic perk is Shrapnel Launcher, causing the weapon to fire a burst of flaming shrapnel in a line. Its secondary perk is Release the Wolves. Holding the reload button activates an alternate fire mode for Lord of Wolves that fires double the ammunition with every trigger pull and deals bonus damage.
Lord of Wolves is a great shotgun in both PvE and PvP. After a recent update, it was so powerful that Bungie awarded an emblem to players who had to deal with it in PvP. Bungie has since nerfed the gun, but it’s still an interesting weapon to use in multiplayer or PvE. If you haven’t gotten it to drop from one of Spider’s bounties, make sure to pick up Lord of Wolves.
St0mp-EE5 is a powerful traversal exotic for Hunters. The exotic perk, Hydraulic Boosters, increases slide and sprint speed, as well as increases jump height. This exotic is very strong in a myriad of situations. In PvE content, it can be great for getting where you need to go quickly. In PvP, it’s a perfect exotic to disorient foes and get to unexpected places quickly.
Xur’s roll this week is Arc, and comes with 48 total stats.
Dunemarchers are excellent Titan boots that everyone should pick up. Their exotic perk, Linear Actuators, increases your sprint speed and causes your next melee after sprinting to chain damage to nearby foes. The secondary part of this perk is almost unnoticeable. The reason you want Dunemarchers is to increase your speed. This exotic is awesome for PvP and can even come in handy on some raid fights like The Gauntlet. If you don’t have these boots for your Titan, be sure to grab them.
Xur’s roll this week is Arc, and comes with 50 total stats.
Sanguine Alchemy is a gorgeous Warlock chest with a pretty interesting PvP perk. Heightened Senses gives you a more detailed radar and marks priority targets near you while standing in your rift. While this perk does force you to stand relatively still, it gives you a great opportunity to know your enemy’s movements before they ever get the chance to move against you. If you love playing PvP on your Warlock, give this chest a shot.
Xur’s roll this week is Void, and comes with 51 total stats.
If you haven’t completed the Invitation quest yet, Xur is still offering it for nine Legendary Shards.
