Destiny 2 Xur Image: Bungie

The weekly Exotic item merchant, Xur, hangs out in random locations around the world of Destiny. In Destiny 2, he can appear all over the map, as well as inside the Tower. This week, you can find Xur on Titan, hanging out in The Rig, taking shelter from the rain in a small shack overlooking the “water.”

Xur’s inventory this week consists of the following:

  • Skyburner’s Oath, Solar scout rifle: 29 Legendary Shards
  • Ophidia Spathe, Hunter chest: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Eternal Warrior, Titan helmet: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Transversive Steps, Warlock boots: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Exotic Engram: 97 Legendary Shards (you can now purchase a second with an Exotic Cipher)

Xur’s inventory caps out at 1050.

Skyburner’s Oath

The Skyburner’s Oath is a scout rifle modeled after the Cabal’s slug rifle. Its first Exotic perk is Slug Rifle, which causes the gun to become more powerful when you’re aiming down its sights, and launch heat-seeking grenades when you fire from the hip. The second Exotic perk is For the Empire. This perk makes the gun fully automatic, deal extra damage to Cabal enemies and, most importantly, penetrate the shields of Phalanx enemies.

All of the perks around Skyburner’s Oath make it sound fantastic, but it’s a fairly mediocre weapon. However, it is pretty unique as far as Destiny guns go, so pick it up if you’re looking for something new.

Ophidia Spathe

The Ophidia Spathe chest piece’s Exotic perk is Scissor Fingers, which lets hunters throw two knives per charge. This Exotic is pretty neat, and throwing knives have always been fun to use in Destiny. This piece is also fairly unique, as it lets players hold two charges of their melee ability while also granting them two charges instantly upon recharge.

With the addition of Way of a Thousand Cuts in Forsaken, this is one of the best Hunter chest pieces in the game. When combined with the subclass’ unique abilities, you can essentially throw knives constantly. It’s a really fun play style, and definitely worth trying out if you have a Hunter.

Xur’s roll this week comes with 63 total stats.

Eternal Warrior

Eternal Warrior is a returning Titan helmet from Destiny. This time around, Eternal Warrior offers the Resolute intrinsic perk. When activating Fists of Havoc — the Striker Titan Super — you’ll gain an overshield.

This is a hard Exotic to place. Activating your Super already gives you bonus defense, so an overshield would make you essentially invincible. If you play Striker in highly competitive PvP — like Trials of Osiris — this is a great helmet to wear when you don’t need anything else.

Xur’s roll this week comes with 60 total stats.

Transversive Steps

Transversive Steps are the Warlock speedy boots, and they’re a very good catch-all Exotic. Their Exotic perk, Strange Protractor, increases your sprint speed and automatically reloads your energy weapons. The reloading is secondary to just how powerful movement speed is in Destiny 2. Make sure to pick them up if you don’t have them yet.

Xur’s roll this week comes with 62 total stats.
