The weekly Exotic item merchant, Xur, hangs out in random locations around the world of Destiny. In Destiny 2, he can appear all over the map, as well as inside the Tower. This week, you can find Xur in the Tower, standing on the back steps of the Tower Hangar.

Xur’s inventory this week consists of the following:
- Lord of Wolves, Solar shotgun: 29 Legendary Shards
- Raiden Flux, Hunter chest: 23 Legendary Shards
- Aeon Safe, Titan arms: 23 Legendary Shards
- Chromatic Fire, Warlock chest: 23 Legendary Shards
- Exotic Engram: 97 Legendary Shards (you can now purchase a second with an Exotic Cipher)
- Exotic Cipher quest: free
Xur’s items drop at a similar power level as your character.
Lord of Wolves
Lord of Wolves is a Forsaken shotgun, usually coming from Spider bounties. Its Exotic perk is Shrapnel Launcher, which causes the weapon to fire a burst of flaming shrapnel in a line. Its secondary perk is Release the Wolves. Holding the reload button activates an alternate fire mode for Lord of Wolves that fires double the ammunition with every trigger pull and deals bonus damage.
Lord of Wolves is a great shotgun in both PvE and PvP. After a recent update, it was so powerful that Bungie awarded an emblem to players who had to deal with it in PvP. Bungie has since nerfed the gun, but it’s still an interesting weapon to use in multiplayer or PvE. If you haven’t gotten it to drop from one of Spider’s bounties, make sure to pick up Lord of Wolves.
Raiden Flux
The Hunter exotic this week is Raiden Flux. This chest piece’s main perk is Synapse Junction, which causes subsequent hits from the Arcstrider staff to deal more damage and extend the duration of the Super. This is one of the best Exotics for Hunters. If you don’t have Raiden Flux, it’s worth your Legendary Shards.
Xur’s roll this week comes with 63 total stats.
Aeon Safe
Part of the Aeon Exotic line added in Curse of Osiris, the Aeon Safe gauntlets are for Titans. Their exotic perk is Aeon Energy, which gives class energy to nearby allies wearing other Aeon armor pieces each time you cast barricade. Non-Aeon users will also receive some energy. This is a terrible Exotic and the entire line is useless. Don’t buy these.
Xur’s roll this week comes with 63 total stats.
Chromatic Fire
Chromatic Fire is a new Warlock exotic added in Forsaken. Its exotic perk is Crystalline Transistor. Getting precision kills with your Kinetic weapon while using a Light subclass creates an elemental explosion — like the Dragonfly perk — based on your current subclass. This perk is useful if you’re fighting large groups of enemies at once, or need extra elemental help against enemies.
Xur’s roll this week comes with 61 total stats.

Starting in Beyond Light, Xur has a new quest for an Exotic Cipher. The Exotic Cipher lets you buy old Exotics from the Monuments To Lost Light kiosk in the tower. You’ll need these items and some other currencies to pick up Exotics like Heir Apparent, Truth, and more.
This week, Xur wants you to complete 21 Strikes or win Crucible or Gambit matches. By finishing the quest, you’ll earn an Exotic Cipher to use however you want.
