The weekly Exotic item merchant, Xur, hangs out in random locations around the world of Destiny. In Destiny 2, he can appear all over the map, as well as inside the Tower. This week, you can find Xur on Nessus, standing on Calus’ Barge in the Watcher’s Grave.

Xur’s inventory this week consists of the following:

  • Merciless, Solar fusion rifle: 29 Legendary Shards
  • Foetracer, Hunter helmet: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Aeon Safe, Titan arms: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Wings of Sacred Dawn, Warlock chest: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Exotic Engram: 97 Legendary Shards (you can now purchase a second with an Exotic Cipher)

Xur’s inventory caps out at 1050.

Merciless

There was a time when the Merciless fusion rifle was one of the best Exotics in Destiny 2. Its Exotic perk, Conserve Momentum, causes it to charge its fusion bursts faster for every non-lethal hit you strike. This still makes killing bosses very fast, but it’s since been outclassed by quite a few other weapons.

But Merciless can still be really fun to use in all kinds of content, especially the old-school stuff. It’s not any less powerful than it was in year one — in fact, it’s more so since it’s in your energy slot now — but there are plenty of better weapons to choose from. If you have any interest in Nightfalls or the Leviathan raid, Merciless is still a must own.

Foetracer

Foetracer is easily one of the most powerful PvP Exotics in Destiny 2. Its Relentless Tracker perk will automatically track enemies through walls and deal additional damage to enemies with low health. While the extra damage is nice, the utility of the tracking is what makes this helmet shine. Every Hunter should have this helmet.

Xur’s roll this week comes with 61 total stats.

Aeon Safe

Part of the Aeon Exotic line added in Curse of Osiris, the Aeon Safe gauntlets are for Titans. Their Exotic perk is Aeon Energy, which gives class energy to nearby allies wearing other Aeon armor pieces each time you cast barricade. Non-Aeon users will also receive some energy. The entire line of Aeon Exotics are actual garbage in your inventory. Vote with your Legendary Shards, and do not give Xur the satisfaction of a sale this week. Don’t buy these.

Xur’s roll this week comes with 66 total stats.

Wings of Sacred Dawn

Wings of Sacred Dawn is one of the weirdest looking Exotics in all of Destiny 2. Its Exotic perk, Tome of Sacred Dawn, allows you to hover while aiming in the air, keeping you suspended for a short period of time. The more precision hits you get like this, the longer you stay up.

Wings of Sacred Dawn is very fun to use but requires you to equip Dawnblade. Thankfully, Dawnblade is very good right now. If you like floating in the air and flinging fire, check this Exotic out.

Xur’s roll this week comes with 62 total stats.
