Destiny 2 Xur Image: Bungie

The weekly Exotic item merchant, Xur, hangs out in random locations around the world of Destiny. In Destiny 2, he can appear all over the map, as well as inside the Tower. This week, you can find Xur in the Tower, standing on the back stairs of the Hangar.

Xur’s inventory this week consists of the following:

  • Arbalest, Kinetic linear fusion rifle: 29 Legendary Shards
  • Oathkeeper, Hunter arms: 23 Legendary Shards
  • ACD/0 Feedback Fence, Titan arms: 23 Legendary Shards
  • The Stag, Warlock helmet: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Exotic Engram: 97 Legendary Shards (you can now purchase a second with an Exotic Cipher)
  • Exotic Cipher quest: free

Xur’s items drop at a similar power level as your character.

Arbalest

Arbalest is the Exotic from 2019’s The Revelry holiday event. Its Exotic perk is Compounding Force, where the weapon deals bonus damage to shielded enemies. It also buffs itself after destroying an enemy shield.

Arbalest is unique in many ways. It’s the first ever Kinetic fusion rifle, and is an amazing tool for removing shields (usually something reserved for Energy weapons). This weapon isn’t the most impressive Exotic out there in everyday use, but it is very powerful in niche situations.

Oathkeeper

Oathkeeper is a set of Exotic gauntlets from Forsaken. Its Exotic perk is Adamantine Brace, which lets you hold arrows at the perfect draw timing forever. These gauntlets have limited uses, but are perfect pickups for players that just want to run around and use bows in every activity. Bows have a sweet spot as soon as the arrow is ready. It’s called a perfect draw, and makes the bow deal more damage or even activate unique perks. If you’re struggling to nail those, Oathkeeper will make sure you always do.

Xur’s roll this week comes with 63 total stats.

Antaeus Wards

The Titan Exotic this week are the ACD/0 Feedback Fence. These gauntlets have the exotic perk Fury Conductors, which causes melee kills to build up energy. When you get hit with a melee attack, you release that energy in an explosion. These gauntlets are niche, but very powerful against enemies that melee often like Thrall or in the Crucible.

Xur’s roll this week comes with 63 total stats.

The Stag

A returning Exotic from Destiny (in name and look at least), The Stag’s Exotic perk, Dearly Departed, gives you Rift energy when you’re close to death. When you die, you’ll also drop a healing rift under your feet. This Exotic has some great stats and some interesting perks.

Perks that are only useful when you die aren’t great. However, this helmet has potential to help you learn difficult encounters, or save an ally’s life in Iron Banner.

Xur’s roll this week comes with 64 total stats.

Exotic Cipher quest

Starting in Beyond Light, Xur has a new quest for an Exotic Cipher. The Exotic Cipher lets you buy old Exotics from the Monuments To Lost Light kiosk in the tower. You’ll need these items and some other currencies to pick up Exotics like Heir Apparent, Truth, and more.

This week, Xur wants you to complete 21 Strikes or win Crucible or Gambit matches. By finishing the quest, you’ll earn an Exotic Cipher to use however you want.
