Destiny 2 Xur location and items, July 23-27

The weekly Exotic item merchant, Xur, hangs out in random locations around the world of Destiny. In Destiny 2, he can appear all over the map, as well as inside the Tower. This week, you can find Xur on Nessus, north of The Watcher's Grave, standing on a big tree.

Xur’s inventory this week consists of the following:

• The Huckleberry, Kinetic submachine gun: 29 Legendary Shards
• Liar’s Handshake, Hunter gloves: 23 Legendary Shards
• Mk. 44 Stand Asides, Titan legs: 23 Legendary Shards
• Karnstein Armlets, Warlock arms: 23 Legendary Shards
• Exotic Engram: 97 Legendary Shards (you can now purchase a second with an Exotic Cipher)
• Exotic Cipher quest: free

Xur’s items drop at a similar power level as your character.

The Huckleberry

The Huckleberry is an Exotic from Warmind. Its intrinsic perk is Ride the Bull, which causes the gun to fire faster and have increased recoil the longer you hold the trigger. Kills with the gun partially reload the magazine. The Huckleberry’s secondary perk is Rampage, which causes each kill to increase your damage for a short time.

The Huckleberry is a very fun gun to use. Its perks combine to offer you a little minigame of trying to fire for as long as you possibly can without having to reload. It’s one of the better primary Exotics in Destiny 2. Pick up The Huckleberry if you can afford it.

Liar’s Handshake

Liar’s Handshake is a Hunter-exclusive Exotic that gives your melee a little bit of extra kick. Its ability is called Cross Counter, and whenever you use an Arc melee ability or are hit with a melee attack, it’ll increase the damage of your next melee and let it heal you. If you’re headed somewhere with plenty of up-close-and-personal fighting, this should give you a nice extra boost in damage and might even get you out of a tight spot.

Mk. 44 Stand Asides

The Mk. 44 Stand Asides’ main perk in Destiny 2 is Seriously, Watch Out. If Titans have Seismic Strike, Hammer Strike, or Shield Bash equipped and have max health, they get an Overshield when sprinting at max speed. Striking an enemy with those abilities quickly recharges your melee energy. This perk is great for aggressive Titan players, especially in PvP. If you have a Titan, pick these up.

Karnstein Armlets

The Karnstein Armlets are fun, powerful Warlock Exotics. The Exotic perk, Vampire’s Caress, will grant a large amount of health on a melee kill and also apply a heal over time to the player. Karnstein Armlets are must-have gauntlets for any Warlock player. They are very useful in PvE and PvP. Do not let these pass you by if you don’t have them yet.

Exotic Cipher quest

Starting in Beyond Light, Xur has a new quest for an Exotic Cipher. The Exotic Cipher lets you buy old Exotics from the Monuments to Lost Light kiosk in the Tower. You’ll need these items and some other currencies to pick up Exotics like Heir Apparent and Truth.

This week, Xur wants you to complete 21 Strikes or win Crucible or Gambit matches. By finishing the quest, you’ll earn an Exotic Cipher to use however you want.
