Destiny 2 guide: Duality dungeon collectibles

Duality is the new dungeon that Bungie released with Destiny 2’s Season of the Haunted. It takes place in the Nightmares of Calus, a frequent Destiny frenemy. The collectibles for this dungeon are Calus’ repressed memories, and they give you more story information about his current state and his interactions with the Witness — Destiny’s biggest bad.

In this Destiny 2 guide, we’ll go over where to find the Repressed Memories inside the Duality dungeon so you can boost your Heartshadow Exotic sword drop rate and complete the Mind Heist Triumph for the Duality seal and Discerptor title.

Repressed Memory 1

At the top of the climb to the second bell, there is a room on the right side (if you’re looking at the bell). Jump onto the platform and walk into the room. The floating Memory container will be at the end of the room.

Once you hit the second bell, the second collectible is in the same room as the first, just in the Nightmare realm.

Head into the nightmare realm for the third time — you’ll know you’re in the correct area because there will be a window with white light, as shown in the first image.

There is a large pillar next to the white window. Walk to the back of it. Jump down and land on a small platform where the third Memory is.

When you get to the opulent room with enemies, directly above the first encounter, clear the room. Turn and face the entrance, then jump up on the platforms shown in the image above.

Look to the back of the room, where you’ll see the Memory. Use your vantage point to jump on the centerpiece and get to the collectible.

Immediately after you complete the first encounter, do not jump down and continue the dungeon. Instead, head to the War Beast room and the Memory will be clearly visible. You can also collect this Memory during the encounter, although it makes for a significantly more hectic experience.

In the jumping puzzle after the first encounter, go through and hit the two switches to extend the coffins in the wall. Head back to the first switch and jump onto the now-open platforms and take the upper path. Head to the platform shown in the image where there is a small room. Inside is the sixth Memory.

Note you’ll need to jump around a corner to find this hidden room.

Once you get to the big leap-of-faith jump (shown above) — this is after the jumping puzzle, before the statues — stand on the platform but don’t jump forward.

Instead, drop down into a small vent, where the Memory is.

In the opening of the Vault, the Memory will be behind one of the pillars. The pillar that it’s behind is in the same location as the secret chest in the normal realm. You’ll also know you are on the correct one because there will be the spot to deposit a Standard Essence — this is used to get the catalyst for the dungeon Exotic sword Heartshadow.

After you complete the Vault encounter, do not jump down. Head to the War Beast area. There will be platforms that open up. Climb up them and you’ll find the Memory.

This Memory is located directly underneath the large square, right next to the second secret chest.

There is a small cubby under the square where you’ll find the Memory.

In the last nightmare realm before the boss fight — which sees you climb some large rafters in the small room — you’ll see a large door on the right. Jump over to it and the Memory will be straight back.

Before sliding down into the boss chamber, look above you. There is a small vent above the door. Jump up and you’ll find the last Memory.
