Destiny 2’s 19th season, “Season of the Seraph,” adds a ton of cool stuff to Bungie’s popular shooter, including a slew of new weapons and armor. But it also brings back Warmind Nodes, a puzzle-like mechanic not seen since 2018’s Season of the Warmind.
Warmind Nodes are hidden caches of loot containing new versions of the four classic IKELOS weapons from Season of the Warmind. It’s worth tracking them down since you’ll need to find these new IKELOS weapons before you’ll be able to focus them in the H.E.L.M. and eventually craft them.
In this Destiny 2 guide, we’ll go over how to collect and use Resonate Stems, how to get Override Codes, and how to use them to find the correct Warmind Nodes scattered around the Moon, Europa, and the mission “Operation: Seraph’s Shield.”
You can earn Resonate Stems from every activity in the game. For example, you’ll get two or three Stems per run from Crucible, Gambit, and Vanguard Ops activities. Once you collect four Resonate Stems, you can combine them into an Override Frequency using the Resonance Amp. (The Resonance Amp contains the Resonate Stems and the Override Codes as part of that item. Those other drops will not take any additional space in your inventory.)
Once that’s created, you’ll get a four-word code identifying the location you need to go to. These codes all follow the same format: The first word is the planet, the second word is the loading area, and the last two words point you in the direction of the node. When you get close to the node, your screen will glow orange and you’ll hear old-timey music, growing stronger as you get closer. If you are having trouble, we have gone over each location below.
Europa Locations (1-6)
Here are the locations for each of the six nodes found on Europa.
You’ll find this node at the very start of the path you took to start the main campaign for Destiny 2: Beyond Light. Travel to the Beyond landing zone, then follow the map until you reach the node.
This node is directly next to the spawn area of the Charon’s Crossing landing zone. Look at the outpost building across from where you spawn, walk to the right ledge at the edge of the map, and jump down to the node.
Spawn in at the Charon’s Crossing landing zone, then ride your sparrow to the Cadmus Ridge area. As you take a right to enter the area, follow the left ledge and jump down to the node.
Travel to the Asterion Abyss area. Make your way to the top of the fissure that looks down on the cave housing the “Concealed Void” Lost Sector. The node is in the cubby to the right of the fissure.
This node is located next to the landing zone for the Eventide Ruins. When you spawn in, look down to your right. You should see a tunnel. Travel through the tunnel until you reach the node.
Head to the Eventide Ruins. You’ll find this node in the catwalks under the large, partially buried dome on the left side of the map.
Moon Locations (7-12)
Here are the locations for the six nodes found on the Moon (Luna).
Travel to the Archer’s Line area. Follow along the right side of the area until you reach a small structure with a dome on top. The node will be in the catwalk-like rafters.
There is a large crevasse that travels through the Archer’s Line area. Make your way along it until you find a small ledge with the node on it.
The Hellmouth area contains a large underground area on the top right of the map, before you reach the entrance to the deeper tunnel system (when traveling from Sorrow’s Harbor). You’ll find the node in a small alcove area in that underground area.
This node is in the large tower structure that sits in the center of the Anchor of Light area.
Travel to Sorrow’s Harbor and head to the location on the map above; you’ll know you are in the right place when you see a small doorway on a large wall.
Go through that doorway and you’ll find the node at the end of that small tunnel.
Spawn into the Sanctuary area. Run right past Eris and look down behind the staging area. You’ll see the node tucked on a small ledge.
Operation: Seraph’s Shield (13-16)
Once you complete the mission “Operation: Seraph’s Shield” for the first time, you’re able to create the Override Codes for the nodes inside of the mission. You may have to play the mission a few times to get them all depending on the order your codes drop-in. These four nodes will drop an IKELOS weapon that is guaranteed to have Deepsight Resonance.
In the large open room above the first augment turn-in terminal, there is a platform. The node will be on this platform.
In the room immediately following the first time you can get the “Operator” augment, walk to the left. The node will be in the pillars.
Once you reach the small room where you actually kill the first boss, this will be the second time you fight him, look to the right. There will be a small room with three sets of lasers, the node will be on the far side.
The final node is on the left side of the room which contains the final chest.
Update, Dec. 20, 2022: We’ve added information about the “Operation: Seraph’s Shield” nodes.
