High School Musical: The Musical: The Series: The Holiday Special is just around the corner — and a first trailer gives us a sneak peek of all the glitzy holiday musical numbers.
High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is a Disney Plus original that premiered last year with the platform. It follows a group of high school students in the “real life” version of East High, who put on a stage production of Disney Channel Original Movie High School Musical. The holiday special isn’t about the characters involved, but the actors, mixing new musical numbers with a backstage look at the cast.
The second season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series will see the characters putting on a production of Beauty and the Beast. Does that warrant a full title change? That’s to be determined when the season eventually debuts on Disney Plus.
Till then, the Holiday Special will have to do. It premieres on Dec. 11. Meanwhile, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series: The Holiday Special: The Soundtrack will be available on Nov. 20. Here’s the full track list.
