In Doom Eternal’s second mission level, “Exultia,” there are 15 exploration items across the two sections of the map, Exultia and Hell.
While some items, like modbots and codex entries, appear on the map automatically as you explore, a hidden or secret item won’t show up unless you happen to walk nearby. You’ll know you’ve passed by one of these collectibles when you see a question mark on the map or one floating in the game world.
In this guide, we’ll show you where to find all of Exultia’s hidden items: two toys, one album, one Sentinel Crystal, and a Slayer Gate and Empyrean Key.
We’ll also detail each Secret Encounter location. While these optional fights aren’t tracked in the Exploration menu, finishing them is essential to complete the Combat tab in your mission summary.
Below, you’ll find maps, locations, and explanations of how to reach every question mark and find each secret in this level of Doom Eternal.

Right after you get your first rune early on in the first area of Exultia, there will be a battle arena you can drop down into. Before dropping down, look to your right, and you’ll see an area you can walk down.
Follow the path all the way down until you get into a seemingly empty room. To your left, punch the wall covered in darkness to find Toy 01: Arachnotron.

You can find Exultia’s second toy right after you meet the Betrayer.
After you leave his lair and make your way to the top of the stairs, you’ll jump a small gap leading you into the next area. Instead of moving forward, turn around and look into the pit behind you — toward the river of lava flowing off a ledge. Jump down there. Tucked in the corner is Toy 02: Cacodemon.

When you get to the mission’s second area, Hell, you’ll start off in a battle arena. After defeating all of the enemies, look for a large box near a giant robotic arm. Punch the box so that it flies against the wall to your right. This will reveal a secret passage.
Follow the passage down to find the secret album At Doom’s Door.

Exultia’s only Sentinel Crystal is located in the Hell area, right after you encounter the giant robot sticking out of the ground.
Once you’ve cleared the small battle arena and made your way up and around to grab the power cell, blast through the demon’s body to continue forward. Once you’re past the demon’s body, you’ll immediately encounter an area where you can walk up and to the right to continue forward. Before that, walk into the purple ooze on your left. A tentacle will pop out as you make your way to the back. Take care of it, and grab the Sentinel Crystal.

While the location of the Slayer Gate is obvious, getting the key to open it is easy to miss.
Enter the cave to the left of the Slayer Gate. Once inside, you’ll notice one of the yellow orbs that replenishes your dashes. Dispatch of all the demons in that room, and make your way to the very top and back end of the cave until you’re standing on the ledge overlooking the room that will bring you eye level with the orb.
Dash all the way across with the help of the yellow power-up until you’re on the other side. Then make your way out of the cave, and you’ll find the Slayer Key on a platform below.
Grab the key and make your way past the Slayer Gate. Defeat the challenging battle arena to get the Empyrean Key.

After you receive your dash ability, head back to the area in Exultia with the giant statues and swing bars that are now accessible with your dash. Stand at the highest point on the platform and double jump and dash toward the first swing bar. After you swing, double jump again to the tower.
Inside, you’ll find a Secret Encounter orb. Activate it, and make easy work of the enemies who appear around the tower to gain a weapon point.

The second Secret Encounter in Exultia is in the Hell area, where the giant robot is stabbing the massive demon with a spear. Once you get the power cell to power up the spear to continue forward, before dropping down, turn around once you make your way on the spear. You’ll notice a ledge you can drop down to on your right.
Once on the ledge, follow the path around to the Secret Encounter. Defeat the enemies and get a weapon point.
