The Assembly is a Project Morpheus and PlayStation 4 project from UK-based nDreams. A trailer is out today.
The company, which recently hired former Sega CEO Mike Hayes to its board, said the VR game is set among a society of scientists frustrated by rules of morality that thwart their drive to discovery.
"We've been experimenting, prototyping and trying all sorts of unusual ideas out," said CEO Patrick O'Luanaigh. "The Assembly includes lots of the gameplay mechanics that we found worked well in VR. For example, you get to control two different characters at various points, and in VR, you really notice details like their different heights, sounds and voices."
