Bethesda is back in the Sunday night spot, following up last year’s massively successful E3 outing, where we were first introduced to Fallout 4 and Doom. This year, we met Quake Champions and Prey, and got to better know Dishonored 2.
Quake Champions (reveal trailer)
Fresh off the hugely celebrated launch of Doom, id Software is returning to its other massive franchise with Quake Champions, a competitive arena-style, character-based shooter for Windows PC. It’s a busy space, but id may have what it takes to hold its own.
Elder Scrolls: Legends (intro cinematic)
Elder Scrolls Legends will be coming to Windows, which we already knew, but will also be coming to iOS and Android phones and tablets, as well as Mac OS. To celebrate, here’s the intro cinematic for this story-heavy card game.
Fallout 4/Fallout Shelter/Skyrim Special Edition
Fallout 4 gets some new DLC packs, Fallout Shelter comes to PC and, perhaps of the most interest, Skyrim gets a Special Edition on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and it looks real pretty.
Prey (reveal trailer)
Prey's development has been ... troubled. What was originally called Prey 2, then in development at Human Head, has since been moved to internal developer Arkane Studios (Dishonored) and has become simply Prey. You are Morgan Yu, the subject of morally dubious experiments designed to improve the human race, according to the game's official description. You awaken aboard the Talos 1 in the year 2032 and must uncover the secrets hiding in the depths of the space station while being hunted by the mysterious alien force that has taken over.
Doom
While Doom earned some serious accolades for its single-player campaign, the game’s multiplayer hasn’t enjoyed that level of critical success. But that’s not stopping id Software from continuing its post-launch multiplayer support. But hey, new SnapMap features!
Elder Scrolls Online
Not a lot of "news" here, but if you like looking at all things Elder Scrolls, enjoy!
Dishonored 2 (gameplay trailer)
Bethesda saved arguably the best for last, with this Dishonored 2 gameplay trailer. Watch protagonist Emily Kaldwin kill everyone to a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s "Gold Dust Woman."
