The original Halo Wars is coming to Xbox One and Windows 10

Ensemble Studios' Xbox 360 game Halo Wars is getting an overhaul for Xbox One and Windows 10. Halo Wars: Definitive Edition will bring improved graphics, additional achievements and all of the game's downloadable content to modern platforms, according to an announcement from Microsoft and 343 Industries.

Halo Wars: Definitive Edition will be included as part of Halo Wars 2's Ultimate Edition, which costs $79.99, according to an Xbox Store listing. It's not clear when the Definitive Edition of Halo Wars will be released, but Microsoft promises more details on the remaster of the 2010 game in the coming months.

Creative Assembly's Halo Wars 2 is slated to launch on Feb. 21, 2017.
