Ever Oasis is Nintendo's newest game, for the 3DS

Action-Adventure RPG coming from studio behind Zelda 3DS titles

Nintendo today announced Ever Oasis, an entirely new franchise for the Nintendo 3DS. The game is an action-adventure role-playing game in which the protagonist brings life to a desert environment.

The hero may be male or female, and is named Tethu.

The game is under development at Grezzo. Founded in 2006, Grezzo previously worked on several portable Zelda titles, including Ocarina of Time 3D, Majora's Mask 3D and Tri-Force Heroes.

No launch date or window was given.

In addition to adventuring, exploration and dungeon puzzles, Ever Oasis also involves town-building mechanisms, where Tethu constructs shops, buildings and other resources. Wandering NPCs that come to Tethu's town (or oasis) can go adventuring with Tethu, and users may switch among all members of a party when on a journey. The game will feature a day/night cycle with attendant effects on gameplay.
