Electronic Arts debuted a new gameplay trailer for Star Wars Battlefront 2 during its EA Play conference this morning. Among the characters shown in the trailer, above, are familiar faces from throughout the entire franchise, like Yoda, Chewbacca and Kylo Ren.
A full reveal of the multiplayer campaign will also be shown during E3 2017, which officially kicks off on June 13.
Unlike 2015’s Battlefront, this year’s entry has a single-player campaign. Players assume the role of a TIE fighter pilot — who is fighting on the side of the Empire.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 will also encompass multiple eras of the Star Wars canon, unlike its predecessor. The game will include areas from all three trilogies in its story and multiplayer campaigns, with appearances from other characters like Darth Maul and Rey.
Twelve minutes of raw gameplay showing them both in action made its way online just ahead of EA Play earlier today. The game will be playable at EA Play, an event the publisher is holding throughout the week, starting immediately after the conference.
Battlefront 2 is out on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One on Nov. 17.
E3 2017 begins on June 13, with press conferences starting June 10. For the big announcements, make sure to check out our one-stop shop for the show's streams.
