Bethesda Softworks revealed new details about the Nintendo Switch version of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim during its pre-E3 2017 press conference today, including the fact that players will be able to dress up like Link from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Skyrim for Nintendo Switch will also include amiibo support. During a reveal trailer shown at Bethesda’s press event, a Link amiibo was used to drop in a treasure chest. Seemingly contained within was Link’s Master Sword, Hylian shield and an outfit that allows for Legend of Zelda cosplay in Skyrim.
Skyrim for Switch will also include three official add-ons — Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn — and motion controls using the system’s Joy-Con.
Here’s Bethesda’s official description of the Switch version of Skyrim:
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for the Nintendo Switch includes all-new gameplay features like motion controls for combat and lockpicking, outfits and gear from The Legend of Zelda. Take down enemies with the Master Sword, protect yourself with the Hylian Shield or look heroic in the Champion’s Tunic. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for the Nintendo Switch also includes all official add-ons: Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn. Plus tap other compatible amiibo to gain additional loot including those from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild series, 30th Anniversary - The Legend of Zelda series, Super Smash Bros. series, and The Legend of Zelda series.
Skyrim was one of the first titles confirmed for Nintendo Switch when the console was revealed last October, but Bethesda has kept details about the port of the 2011 game mostly under wraps.
