In addition to its stock $60 retail release, Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus will be getting a $100 Collector’s Edition featuring an actual GI Joe-style 12-inch action figure of franchise hero "BJ" Blazkowicz. In keeping with the game’s conceit of an America controlled by Nazi Germany, Blazkowicz is billed as “Terror-Billy” in the Elite Hans lineup. Here’s the store description:
The most wunderbar soldier who ever lived now brings exciting action to the American Territories with an all-new addition to the Elite Hans action set. Introducing — straight from the headlines — the vile BJ "Terror-Billy" Blazkowicz! A cold-blooded killer that must be stopped, Terror-Billy is always sneaking, spying, or smashing. Add Terror-Billy to your collection today and bring glory to the home front with Elite Hans--the Empire's Posable Protector! The Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Collector's Edition includes a 1/6 scale 12-inch action figure of the game's Nazi-killin' hero William Joseph "BJ" Blazkowicz, packaged in a premium, 1960s-style box. BJ comes fully equipped to rally the resistance and free America, with an arsenal of accessories including four high-powered guns, a hatchet, and his bomber jacket. The limited Collector's Edition also includes the highly anticipated game inside an exclusive metal case, and a 9"x14" Blitzmensch poster.
If that $40 premium feels steep for a doll, it also comes with a poster. Still not convinced, perhaps this list and image of all of the accessories will explain if not the value, at least the dedication to recreating the action figures of our past.
