Miles Morales is heading to Spider-Man on PlayStation 4.
Sony ended its E3 press conference with an extended look at Insomniac’s Spider-Man but that’s not when Miles made his debut. It was after Sony played a sizzle reel of all the games shown off tonight that a “post-credits scene” of sorts played. In the scene, a group of New Yorkers can be seen hanging around and taking photos of the mess that Spider-Man has left in the wake of an attack on the city. One of the characters, a young teen, is included and if you listen closely, you can hear his friend call him Miles.
This is a pretty exciting moment for Spider-Man fans. Morales has had a series of supporting roles in games like Marvel Super Hero Squad Online, Spider-Man: Unlimited, Marvel Future Fight and a few others, but the trailer hints that Morales could be a more prominent character in Spider-Man.
Even with Morales’ inclusion in the game, we don’t have enough information to make any kind of guess as to what his role will be. Whether or not Morales will have a major role is still questionable, but Insomniac confirmed on its website that Spider-Man would center on “an experienced Peter Parker who’s more masterful at fighting big crime.”
Spider-Man will be released exclusive for the PlayStation 4 in 2018.
