Detroit: Become Human’s new trailer is about the android revolution

A new trailer for David Cage’s next project

A trailer for Detroit: Become Human premiered during Sony’s E3 2017 press conference. The narrative-driven adventure game is the latest from David Cage’s studio Quantic Dream, known best for similar titles Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls.

Detroit: Become Human is a PlayStation 4 exclusive, one of several highlighted during Sony’s briefing. This one is all about humans with cybernetic capabilities — or more accurately, androids — which allow them to interact with and investigate a futuristic version of Detroit, Michigan in unique ways.

It’s a dystopian future starring a vigilante named Marcus, based on what we’ve seen in the trailer. Marcus is intent on freeing similarly enhanced people and having them follow his cause. After breaking the other androids free from their cells, Marcus galvanizes them to take part in a revolution that could change the world as they know it. Players will have to make tough decisions in order to determine just how the world will be affected, much like previous Quantic Dream games.

No release date was announced for the game, so we’ll have to keep waiting.
