Nintendo went all-in on the Switch during the Tuesday morning Nintendo Direct, officially kicking off this year’s E3.

Rocket League is coming to Switch
Soccer-meets-demolition-derby game Rocket League is heading to the Nintendo Switch this holiday season and will include all of the features and modes available on other platforms. The game will also get some special content.
Xenoblade Chronicles is getting a sequel on the Switch this holiday
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 hits the Switch this holiday season. The game, a follow-up to the original Wii role-playing game, will feature a new group of heroes as they journey to the land of Elysium.
There’s a new Kirby game for the Switch
Kirby’s next game, currently simply named Kirby, is coming to the Switch next year. Our first look at the title showed off the critter battling with melee weapons, inhaling enemies, changing shapes (including into a curling stone) and employing his traditional Kirby powers and abilities.
More Pokemon coming to the Switch
Even though Pokkén Tournament DX is heading to the Switch, that’s simply not enough. Good thing, then, that The Pokemon Company today announced that they are working on a yet-to-be-named Pokemon RPG.
Metroid Prime is coming to the Switch
Good news, bad news. We know that there’s a new Metroid Prime in the works, but that’s about all we know about Metroid Prime 4.
There’s a new Yoshi hitting next year
We got our first look at the always-adorable Yoshi in what will be his first adventures on the Nintendo Switch. The game is set to hit next year and seems to include papier-mache and cardboard items that players can use and interact with.
Fire Emblem Warriors launches this fall for Nintendo Switch
Nintendo took a moment today to show off a new trailer for Fire Emblem Warriors, Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors-style action game. The trailer gave us our first glimpse of a slew of fan-favorite heroes in action.
Two DLC packs hit the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild soon
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild gets two new content packs as part of the $19.99 Expansion Pass. On June 30, we get The Master Trials content, and The Champion’s Ballad hits this holiday.
Super Mario Odyssey features one, um, unforgettable theme song
Super Mario Odyssey hits the Switch on Oct. 27. The sandbox game has Mario exploring different worlds and using some new abilities including one that features the use of his hat to take control of, seemingly, everything.
Seven new amiibo unveiled (one literally)
We got our first look at four new Zelda amiibo and three for the upcoming Super Mario Odyssey, including one of Princess Peach in a pulled back wedding veil.
We’re getting a new Metroid on the 3DS
Metroid Samus Returns is coming to the 3DS sometime later this year. (Not to be confused with the Metroid 2: Return of Samus, it is, we’re told, a reimagination of the original Game Boy Metroid, released in 1991. It is in development by Mercurysteam.
