Vampyr gets creepy new gameplay trailer, introduces difficult decisions players will make

Coming out later this year

Vampyr, the gothic third-person role-playing game from Dontnod, the developers behind Life is Strange, has a new gameplay trailer that promises a creepy time for all players.

The 10-minute video was noticeably absent from Sony’s PlayStation conference, which was packed with trailers from beginning to end, but the publisher has uploaded a video demonstrating a little more of the gameplay mechanics that we haven’t seen. In this particular scene, Vampyr’s main character, Jonathan E. Reid, is learning to deal with the changes he’s undergoing as a new vampire. Reid, a high-ranking military surgeon who was transformed into a vampire upon his return home from the front, meets a couple of interesting characters who either want him to embrace his newfound darkness or help him run away from it.

The gameplay segment published specifically focuses on the story that players will work their way through in the game and the difficult choices they will have to make, but there is a glimpse of combat as well.

Vampyr will be released this November for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows PC.
