Skull and Bones doesn’t disappoint at E3 2017

Going 5v5 in Ubisoft’s new sailing game

Simone de Rochefort has been producing & hosting YouTube videos for Polygon since 2016. She co-directed the upcoming documentary The Great Game: The Making of Spycraft.

Skulls and Bones was, for me, the most pleasant surprise from Ubisoft’s E3 2017 press conference.

Fortunately, we didn’t have to wait long to try it out. At an Ubisoft event, Charlie Hall and I teamed up to hunt treasure — and to engage in naval warfare with rival pirates.

The PvP portion of the match concluded with the arrival of pirate hunters to chase us away. All-in-all we really enjoyed this slice of Skull and Bones. Check out the video above, where Charlie and I talk about the different ship classes and working together with our pirate partners.

We’re looking forward to seeing more of Skull and Bones — especially that mysterious kraken.
