Watch 30 minutes of Super Mario Odyssey co-op

Beware the cap

On the last day of E3, Nintendo confirmed that Super Mario Odyssey will feature a type of local co-op with the second player taking control of Mario’s soul-eating hat.

In the video above, you can watch the entire 30-minute segment of Nintendo’s Treehouse stream which has game director Kenta Motokura walking the audience through the feature and showing it off.

Super Mario Odyssey was Nintendo’s major focus at E3 this year, with the company designing its entire show floor booth around the game. (You can check out a photo tour of the entire booth right here.)

The game already has a lot of interest with Cappy’s ability to control anything generating a meme and people falling in love with the game’s theme song, which is sung by Pauline.

You can read-up more on the game and our coverage of it at the show right here.

Super Mario Odyssey will be available on Oct. 27, 2017 on Nintendo Switch.
