Crackdown 3 trailer shows Terry Crews destroy everything in sight

Crackdown 3 is one of the biggest, flashiest exclusives on Xbox One

Crackdown 3 first appeared at E3 2014. Four years later, the game is finally approaching its 2019 release. Where the first trailer teased skyscraper-scale destruction, the new trailer — shown during Microsoft’s E3 press conference — falls closer in line with the supercop gameplay of the original Crackdown.

But, it does feature Terry Crews. And Terry Crews is enough to elevate any film, TV show or game.

The Crackdown series has been one of Xbox’s biggest mysteries over the years, disappearing from press events for long stretches. Initially, demos focused on the game’s online city destruction mode. But during E3 2017, demos seemed to refocus on the ways Crackdown 3 fit into the larger series, showing gameplay from the campaign mode, which lacks the massive destructibility.

The E3 2018 trailer shows more promise than what was shown last year. We hope to get time with the game this week and share our impressions.
