More features are being added to the game, according to one developer, who said the team is committed to building a proper esport with the game. More information is expected to come out during QuakeCon, which takes place in August.
The game is still in early access, but the game will be free to play for everyone this week, from June 10 through June 17, before the game officially launches.
Quake Champions is the first game in the main franchise since Quake 4, which was released in 2005. Quake Champions was first announced at E3 in 2016, and has been in early access since then.
