PlatinumGames announces Babylon’s Fall

Coming to PS4, PC in 2019

Babylon’s Fall is the next project from Japanese studio PlatinumGames, the company announced today with a trailer during Square Enix’s E3 2018 special video presentation.

It’s unclear what kind of experience Babylon’s Fall is, although Platinum is known for action games. The trailer ran through dates far in the future, including Judgment Day in the year 5450, before showing two massive knights fighting each other. The game is in development on PlayStation 4 and Windows PC, and is scheduled to be released in 2019.

Babylon’s Fall represents the continuation of a relationship between Platinum and Square Enix. The companies previously worked together for Nier: Automata, which was released in 2017 on PS4 and PC; that game is coming to Xbox One later this month as Nier: Automata Become As Gods Edition. As an independent studio, Platinum is also working with other publishers, including Nintendo, for which it is developing Bayonetta 3. You can check out a piece of artwork from Babylon’s Fall below.
