Todd Howard didn’t reveal much of The Elder Scrolls 6 at Bethesda’s E3 press conference, but what he showed may be just enough to give us a hint about the game’s location.
The long-awaited next installment of Elder Scrolls, a series that’s become basically synonymous with Skyrim, will probably take place in High Rock.
This northern region features the requisite ocean, mountains, and fortress that we can see in Bethesda’s short teaser. The fortress in the teaser sits on what may very well be the North Kambria plateau.
High Rock is the homeland of the Bretons, but also has a population of orcs — and as with the neighboring region of Skyrim, there is tension between the races.
Bethesda has yet to give us a release date for The Elder Scrolls 6, or even a subtitle for it. But with seven years between the release of Skyrim and this announcement, anticipation is high.
