Ubisoft announced today at its E3 2018 press conference that the Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle — Donkey Kong Adventure will release for Nintendo Switch on June 26.
The adventure stars everyone’s favorite necktied gorilla, Donkey Kong. But he won’t be alone. Rabbid Peach and Rabbid Cranky Kong — who is also making his Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle debut in this DLC — will join Donkey in this expanded adventure.
The DLC adds four new areas to the tactical strategy game. Mario looks to be wholly absent in this expansion, with the focus being solely on his previous nemesis.
Donkey Kong will use a banana-rang to take on his enemies. Rabbid Cranky appears to use some kind of crossbow. In the trailer, we see Rabbid Peach use some of the same abilities she had access to in Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle.
We enjoyed our time with Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle last year, although it falls just short of a traditional Nintendo experience. Donkey Kong Adventure could go the extra mile.
