Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is available on PlayStation Plus tonight. It’s a prelude to an offer Sony just unveiled for Black Ops 4.
According to the deal, fans who pre-order Black Ops 4 will get fan-favorite maps designed for that game, on Black Ops 3. The maps were shown in a trailer at the PlayStation live event at E3 tonight, in which a bullet passes through various terrains. These included Summit, Slums, Firing Range and Jungle.
Sony says it wants to put Activision’s Black Ops 3 on subscription service PlayStation Plus, so as many people as possible can benefit from the offer. PS Plus regularly drops games to its members, who pay around $50 a year. Black Ops 3, which was released in 2015, will be on PS Plus for one month.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 from developer Treyarch will be released Oct. 12 on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
