Bloodborne and Dark Souls developer FromSoftware is making a virtual reality game for PlayStation VR called Déraciné. It’s coming to PlayStation 4 later this year.
Déraciné puts players in the role of a “spirit summoned by a young girl in a secluded boarding school.” In Déraciné “the player must prove its existence and build a unique bond with the students through clever interactions. As the mystery of the story unfolds, the spirit must use its ability to manipulate the forces of life and time to change the fate of the pupils.”
In the game’s teaser, a character says, “Aren’t you excited? You’re going to be a fairy and live in the world where time stands still, when nobody can see what you’re up to ever again.”
The word déraciné means to be uprooted or describe a person who has been displaced.
Alongside Déraciné, at E3 2018, FromSoftware announced a brand-new game, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, a collaboration with publisher Activision, during Microsoft’s Xbox press conference.
