Soulcalibur 6 will be released Oct. 19, 2018 on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One, according to a new story trailer for Bandai Namco’s fighting game. Previously, the game had only a 2018 release window.
The Soulcalibur 6 story trailer touches on the series characters — including returning fighters Taki, Siegfried, Ivy, Zasalamel, Sophitia, Mitsurugi, Nightmare, Xianghua and Kilik, as well as newcomer Grøh — who come together through the ages on a quest to protect (or acquire) the Soul Edge. The sixth main game in the series revisits the events of the original Soulcalibur, but promises to reveal additional details about the lore.
The trailer also reveals a deluxe edition and collector’s edition of Soulcalibur 6. The deluxe edition will include a copy of Soulcalibur 6, a metal case with a built-in sound box, a compilation soundtrack on disc and a season pass, which promises three additional playable characters (and a season pass bonus character) and two armor packs.

The collector’s edition will include almost everything in the deluxe edition, as well as a 120-page art book, a collector’s edition box and a 12-inch Sophitia figure. Perplexingly, the collector’s edition does not appear to include the season pass as part of the package.
