NBA Live 19, the latest entry in EA Sports’ long-running basketball series, launches Sept. 7 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, publisher Electronic Arts announced today during EA Play 2018.

The first trailer for NBA Live 19, which EA showed at the press briefing, highlighted the return of The One, the well-received career mode that debuted in last year’s NBA Live 18. This time around, players will have to travel the world in the mode to put together a squad of teammates.

The trailer also appeared to show NBA Hall-of-Famer Allen Iverson in the game; it’s unclear what his role will be. EA says developer EA Tiburon is bringing EA Sports’ Real Player Motion animation technology into NBA Live 19 for “thousands of new animations and smoother gameplay than ever before”; it debuted in FIFA 18 last year. A demo of NBA Live 19 will be available Aug. 24.

EA has finally clawed its way back to respectability with the NBA Live franchise, which had a rough first half of this decade between a failed reboot (to NBA Elite 11) and a four-year gap between releases. For more on NBA Live 19, check out the debut trailer above.
