The Electronic Entertainment Expo, better known as E3, is back for 2019.
Just as in years past, major publishers like Bethesda, Electronic Arts, Square Enix, Ubisoft, and more will be showing off their latest games and hardware in a series of press conferences and livestreams. But there will be some differences this time around.
For one, Sony won’t have a formal press conference, or a booth on the show floor. It’s the console maker’s first time skipping the show in the event’s 24-year history. Electronic Arts also will forgo its traditional press conference, opting for a more public event focused on hands-on gameplay and all-day streaming. Nintendo’s E3 2019 update will combine its own playful branding with news and announcements through its Nintendo Direct E3 2019 stream and longform Treehouse streams throughout the week.
