Square Enix gave Kingdom Hearts fans a look at the future of Kingdom Hearts 3’s Re:Mind downloadable content ahead of E3 2019, revealing that the add-on will include Roxas, Aqua, and Riku as playable characters, as well as a new Keyblade transformation for Sora, Oathkeeper.
Fans also got a release window: Kingdom Hearts 3 Re:Mind is coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One game “this winter,” the trailer says. That could mean either later this year or early 2020, and Kingdom Hearts fans who have learned patience over the past decade should probably expect the latter.
In terms of story, the trailer also teases interactions between young Xehanort and the Master of Masters at the Keyblade Graveyard, and a conversation between Luxord and Xigbar.
Square Enix will hold its E3 2019 press conference on Monday, June 10, at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET, where hopefully we’ll learn more about the future of Kingdom Hearts 3.
