Waypoint Ruins is an area in Elden Ring’s East Limgrave area, with a cellar and a boss fight that unlocks a merchant. In this Elden Ring Waypoint Ruins guide we’ll tell you how to find the ruins, defeat the boss, and what rewards you can expect.

Waypoint Ruins is in East Limgrave, east of lake Agheel. It can be easily approached by following the road from either the north or the south.

Outside the ruins is a Giant Poison Flower. As the name suggests, using poison resistance will help to defeat this enemy. Using fire also dispels the poisonous clouds it emits. It can also create smaller poison flowers which release the same poison.

The entrance to the ruins is just to the south of the Giant Poison Flower. Approaching from the south can avoid the fight with the flower, which can’t target you underground.

Defeating the flower will make it disappear, revealing the crafting materials Miranda Powder and five Poisonbloom as well as Immunizing Cured Meat on the body below. Further south, do some horse parkour to get four Trina Lily from a corpse slung over a wall. The easiest way to access it is to climb onto the highest part of the ruins and drop down.

Waypoint Ruins Mad Pumpkin Head boss fight

Inside the underground ruins, you will find Mad Pumpkin Head. He hits with a flail, which causes Bleed damage, and his own head. Slamming either of these down leaves him open for counter attack. Targeting his unprotected body rather than his armored head also helps. With his stooped posture, this is easiest from behind. Summons can help keep his focus in one direction so that you can get off these backstabs.

Defeating Mad Pumpkin Head will net you 1,100 Runes. It will also make the site of grace for the Waypoint Ruins appear so that you can more easily travel back here later.
