We're taking a look at the most promising iPhone and iPad releases for June 14, 2012.

Each week the iOS Gaming Watch List will inform you of some noteworthy releases coming to the App Store.

Major releases tend to hit on Thursdays, so we'll be coming at you every Wednesday with the games to look out for, as well as some of the bigger content updates on the way. While this won't be a comprehensive list of games releasing for a given week, it does offer a quick selection of games and upates that show promise or look interesting for one reason or another. Worth noting that we have not played many of these games, so you shouldn't take these as short reviews. Think of this more like a helpful guide of games to investigate as they launch on Thursday.

Unfortunately, since these are pre-release games, App Store links are not available, but if you search for the title within the App Store tomorrow, it should pop up.

Pocket Planes

Just when you thought you had gotten over your addiction to Tiny Tower, out comes Pocket Planes. Made by the same developer, Pocket Planes makes you the owner of a burgeoning airline, attempting to take over the world one route at a time. Just like Tiny Tower, it's all about time management and trying to fight the urge to buy in-game cash with real money. That said, Nimblebit has always been great about providing entertaining gameplay, even if you're not willing to pay for it. A definite must-download for all. (Universal app, free)

Temple Run: Brave

If you've played Temple Run, chances are you'll be familiar with just about everything going on in Temple Run: Brave. Like Angry Birds Rio, this Brave movie tie-in takes the base gameplay from the franchise and adds movie characters and elements. That said, if you look at this less like a sequel and more like a Temple Run expansion pack, it starts to seem pretty enticing. (Universal app, $0.99)

Babel Rising 3D

Being a god can be hard. You're up there, chilling on your cloud, when, out of nowhere, pesky humans start trying to take over your territory. Babel Rising has you fighting off hordes as they attempt to build the titular tower. At your disposal are all sorts of godly powers. Lightning, brimstone and tornados are just you getting warmed up! My favorite, though, is the giant boulder that rolls down the tower, Indiana Jones-style. Somewhere, Alfred Molina is smiling.(Universal, $2.99)

Suspect in Sight

Smash Cops on iOS proved that chasing down criminals in cop cars and smashing them into oblivion is a great way to spend an afternoon. Suspect in Sight seems to be taking the same concept, but instead of a cop car, you've got a helicopter. Your goal is to keep your spotlight on your target as they weave through traffic. The trailer takes a little while to start looking enticing (the cutscenes make the game look far uglier than it actually is), so give it some time and see if it's for you. (Universal app, $0.99)
