The first alliance raid for FFXIV: Endwalker is here with patch 6.1: The Myths of the Realm. The first of the three alliance raids, Aglaia, is unlockable through a side quest. Our FF14 Aglaia alliance raid unlock guide shows you who to talk to in order to unlock Aglaia.

The Myths of the Realm: Aglaia alliance raid prerequisites

To unlock and complete Aglaia, you need to do the following:

  • Clear up to a certain part in the main scenario quest “A Brother’s Grief.”
  • Have one level 90 combat job.
  • Have an item level of at least 565.

These requirements are easy to meet as long as you’ve completed the main part of the Endwalker expansion. When you hit the point in “A Brother’s Grief” when you can start unlocking Aglaia, the game will notify you. The artifact armor item level is 560, so you’ll only need the artifact armor and some higher-leveled accessories.

Once you’ve met the above prerequisites, you’ll need to talk to the Fresh-faced Student NPC in Old Sharlayan. We’ve mapped on their location below. Their location will also be marked with a blue plus quest marker on your map. The quest they give you is called “A Mission in Mor Dhona.”

The Myths of the Realm: Aglaia alliance raid loot and rewards

The Agalia raids will reward item level 590 gear, which should help boost your stats a good amount (unless you have raid gear). Note that, until patch 6.2, you will only be able to claim one armor piece from Aglaia per week, so make sure to only roll for what you want. The week resets on Tuesday mornings.

The raid also drops a Wind-Up Azeyma minion, a Nald Triple Triad Card, and In The Balance, Radiance, and Pilgrimage Orchestrion Rolls, which you can roll on freely with no restrictions.

Once per week, you’ll also get an Aglaia Coin from completing Aglaia. You can trade these in for Radiant Twine and Radiant Coating to augment your Radiant’s tomestone gear. Trade in the coins at the NPC below in Radz-at-Han.
