How to unlock Count Charlemend’s custom deliveries in Final Fantasy 14

Final Fantasy 14’s patch 5.5 added a new set of custom deliveries from Count Charlemend de Durendaire for crafters and gatherers to complete.

In this FFXIV guide, we’ll teach you which quests you need to complete to unlock Count Charlemend’s custom deliveries, as well as what other prerequisites you need.

To unlock Count Charlemend’s custom deliveries, you need to do some of the side quests associated with Ishgard Restoration. Square Enix listed three prerequisite quests in the patch notes: “Smiles Cross the Sky,” “The Brume Lifts,” and “Go West, Craftsman.” These are all part of larger quest chains, so we’ve listed where to start them below:

Before doing any of these, you will need to unlock The Firmament, the newly built area in Ishgard. To do so, you need to be at least level 60, and you need to complete the main scenario quest “Litany of Peace.” When you meet those requirements, there will be a Recruitment Notice NPC in Ishgard that will give the “Towards the Firmament” quest.

The NPC Francel in The Firmament gives the quest “Smiles Cross the Sky,” and it’s the last quest in the chain that starts with “Towards the Firmament.”

Charlemend De Durendaire in The Firmament gives “The Brume Lifts,” and it unlocks after completing “May Featherfall Flourish” in the above quest chain.

Lydirlona in Mor Dhona gives “Go West, Craftsman,” a quest that needs a crafter or gatherer at least level 60. You must first complete “Inscrutable Tastes, which is also given by Lydirlona and requires a crafter or gatherer at least level 50.

Once you’ve completed all of these, you can unlock Count Cherlemend’s custom deliveries by completing the quest “You Can Count on It.” Francel in The Firmament will give you this quest, as long as you have a crafter or gatherer at level 70 or above.
