Fortnite guide: How to activate two-factor authentication for the Heartspan Glider

Epic Games released Fortnite’s new Valentine’s Day event with a new glider. But you can only get the Heartspan Glider as a gift from someone else. To send gifts, the gift giver must enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on their Epic Games account.

To enable 2FA on your account, go to fortnite.com/2fa where you can choose to authenticate through email or an authenticator app. Once you’ve activated two-factor authentication, log back into the game, and you’ll be able to gift the glider.

To send the gift, go to the Fortnite in-game store and select the glider. The glider is a featured item, costing 0 V-Bucks. Select the item, and choose to send it as a gift. Then you can select one recipient from your friends list. You’ll see the gifting screen where you can send your friend a special message.

You and your friends must coordinate quickly to get your gliders. Epic is only allowing players to gift the gliders on Feb. 14 and 15, with the promotion ending on Friday at 7 p.m. ET.
