Today at 2 p.m. ET, EDM artist and D.J. Marshmello will be performing in Fortnite. Epic and Marshmello have been hinting at the event for the last week or so, but now it’s clear that the event is going to kick off in earnest today. Here’s what you need to know to take part in the festivities.
WHERE IS THE MARSHMELLO FORTNITE CONCERT?
The in-game concert will take place in Pleasant Park, in the northwestern part of the map. The specific location is pretty obvious, as a large stage has been set up (pictured above), where Marshmello will perform his set.
WHEN IS THE MARSHMELLO FORTNITE CONCERT?
The concert is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET (11am PT), though it’s a good idea to head into the game a few minutes before and try to camp out a good spot. That said, there’s always a concern you could get ganked by an unfriendly concert-goer, so try to maintain a passive stance to ensure you stay alive.
HOW LONG WILL THE CONCERT RUN FOR?
Unclear. Previous Fortnite live events have usually lasted just a few minutes, though it seems like that’d make for a pretty underwhelming concert.
WHAT IF I CAN’T PLAY THEN, CAN I STILL WATCH?
There will likely be a metric ton of streamers experiencing the event live, including the ever-popular Ninja and Myth. We’ll also add a YouTube embed to this page once the event happens.
ANYTHING ELSE I NEED TO DO TO PREPARE?
There are a handful of challenges tied to the event, as well as a skin of Marshmello himself. That said, you’re not supposed to wear the shirt of the concert you’re going to, and I’m pretty sure this applies.
