Fortnite season 8 week 1 loading screen and secret battle pass star location

Fortnite season 8 has begun, and the hidden loading screen challenges are back again. These challenges require players to complete every challenge in a week to earn a secret loading screen. Hidden in each loading screen is the location of a battle pass star worth a free battle pass tier when they pick it up. But, you must have completed all weekly challenges for that week’s star to appear.

The first week’s loading screen (pictured above) features the season 8 captain skin hanging onto the mast of the ship near Lazy Lagoon. If you look in the background, you can see this week’s star at the top of the town’s tallest building. For reference, this is what that looks like on the map.

Once you land, the star will appear. Then just hold your interact button, and you’ll grab the star.
