Fortnite guide: Winterfest 2021 ‘Warm yourself at the Yule log in the Cozy Lodge’ quest

Fortnite’s Winterfest 2021 is here, and Sgt. Winter has brought us 14 days of presents and quests. In this Fortnite Winterfest quest guide, we’ll explain how to complete the “Warm yourself at the Yule log in the Cozy Lodge” quest.

The Cozy Lodge isn’t a location on the map. Instead, it’s a new tab in your menus. Look for the snowflake icon all the way to the right.

When you come here each day until Jan. 6, 2022, you’ll be able to open one present per day. The Winterfest present you unwrap will be a random pick from two Outfits, two Pickaxes, two Wraps, a Glider, a Contrail, an Emote, a Lobby Track, a Loading Screen, an Emoticon, a Spray, and a Banner.

Warm yourself at the Yule log in the Cozy Lodge quest

You can see the fireplace from the main screen in the Cozy Lodge, but it takes a couple steps to complete this quest.

Select Sgt. Winter (the military-grade Santa character in the chair). This will move you to the fireplace. You can’t interact with him, but you’ll automatically select the Yule Log. Select that, and you’ll see a very Fireplace For Your Home view of the Yule log. Wait on that screen for a few seconds, and you’ll complete the “Warm yourself at the Yule log in the Cozy Lodge” quest.

If you stay here — or come back again — you’ll earn 10 XP every few seconds. There does seem to be a limit on how much you can earn, though.
