Season 6 of Fortnite begins this Thursday, Sept. 27, but Epic Games has already begun to release hints about what might be on the way. The giant, purple cube that rolled across the map has melted into Loot Lake to create a large, bouncy structure, and today’s tweet from the game’s official account suggests that the cube situation may point toward the future of the game.
Somehow.
Whatever’s going to happen is going to happen soon, however. This is the tweet that went out earlier this morning:
All great parties need a DJ.

What appears to be a purple techno-Llama skin is shown on the side of the cube, with the tweet stating that “all great parties need a DJ.”
Will the theme be ‘80s-style neon cheese? Will this season be one giant dance party? Is this tease a single image that can’t really be used to draw large conclusions about an entire season of one of the most popular games in the world? After looking at all the available evidence and weighing it against what we know about how Epic runs Fortnite, we feel confident in saying the answer is: Maybe.
