Fortnite’s new weapon shows players where the circle is headed next

The new Storm Scout Sniper is here to keep you safe

The circle is the one thing in Fortnite that every player is competing against equally. No matter how many shields or guns you have, if you stay in the storm too long, you’re going to lose your health at same speed as anyone else. But, in Fortnite patch v9.41 Epic is giving players with a certain new weapon a bit of an advantage when it comes to the storm.

The game’s newest weapon is called the Storm Scout Sniper Rifle. The weapon has a map built into its scope that allows players to see where the storm is going and where upcoming circles will be. This means that any player with this sniper will be able to get a head start on their way to safety. The weapon is only available in Epic or Legendary rarities.

This patch also adds a couple celebration pieces to the game for Fortnite’s birthday celebration, including cakes at certain points of interest and birthday presents, which will drop a variety of loot. Overtime challenges are also returning for the final week of season 9. The challenges will grant certain cosmetic rewards for completion, however, they won’t give you a full battle pass this time around.

For a look at all the changes coming to the game in Fortnite patch v9.41 you can read the full patch notes below.
