Bruno Mars’ smooth moves come to Fortnite

Don’t believe me, just watch!

Bruno Mars is getting a hip-swaying, knee-wobbling Fortnite emote. The dance — which will have your character absolutely vibing — is inspired by “Leave the Door Open,” the new hit single from Silk Sonic, a duo that consists of Anderson .Paak and Mars. In fact, according to Epic Games, “Mars crafted the dance as a unique emote exclusively for Fortnite’s players.”

Mars, known for pop hits such as “That’s What I Like” and “Locked Out of Heaven,” posted on Instagram a video showing side-by-side clips of him dancing in time with a Fortnite character.

It’s surreal to watch for sure, but it’s also what we’ve come to expect from the ever-growing universe of the game. It’s a world where dinosaurs, Kratos, and now Bruno Mars’ dance can all coexist in one meme mega mashup of a game.

Bruno Mars isn’t even the only pop sensation to get a Fortnite emote. Stars like BTS, Travis Scott, Marshmellow, and Dua Lipa have gotten their own emotes. The game is absolutely awash with the little dances.

Bruno Mars’ Fortnite emote debuts the evening of April 2.
