Hey, Nintendo. Where's F-Zero been for the past ten years?

Seriously Nintendo, where has F-Zero been for the past ten - freaking - years?

The HD generation of Nintendo consoles is now in full swing. The Wii U has arrived with much fanfare, but also with considerably fewer games than expected - and even fewer of those which were promised to arrive for launch.

We can all agree that a new console based F-Zero title is long overdue, but what would you love to see this game become when it finally appears?
