Contest: Live in Manhattan? Want to be the first to play a new Star Wars arcade experience on October 8?

Starwars arcade

Hi there Polynauts. Do you love Star Wars? Are you an arcade gaming aficionado? If the answer is yes, then Bandai Namco Games has a cool opportunity for you to explore a galaxy far, far away.

Bandai Namco Games is holding an event in Manhattan on Oct. 8, where it'll unveil a brand new Star Wars arcade machine. We don't know what it is or what it looks like, but Polygon is able to send 10 readers to an exclusive event where you'll have first dibs with what Bandai Namco is describing as a unique arcade experience. You won't have to go it alone either as you'll be able to bring a +1 on the day. Oh yeah, drinks are served for free if you're afraid of dying of thirst.

Some requirements:

  • You must be aged 21+, and have photographic ID to indicate as such.
  • You'll need to be able to reach the event in Manhattan on Oct. 8.
  • Doors open at 1 p.m. ET, the event runs from 2-5 p.m. ET.

Easy. Drop a comment below telling us your best Star Wars or arcade based memory. You can choose either topic, and we'll select the ten we think are the best.

The contest will now end on Oct. 7 at 9 a.m. ET. Winners will be contacted via email, so make sure you have that listed in your profile here. Please keep an eye out for an email from me, as I'll need to get those names before noon, ET.

There’s no excuse to try and cheat — we can spot cheaters a mile off. If you make two accounts to try and make multiple entries, we’ll disqualify you. Be cool with your entry, but be fair to everyone else. There are 10 spots up for grabs, so you’re in with a good chance.

Agreement to Official Rules: By entering the Contest, you indicate your full and unconditional agreement to, and acceptance of, (a) these Official Rules and (b) Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. A winner is responsible for paying any applicable income taxes and any and all other costs and expenses not listed above.

How to Enter: To enter the Contest, you must (a) be a registered user of Polygon, and (b) submit an original entry in response to the Contest Post in accordance with the instructions and standards set forth above. There is a limit of one (1) entry per person/e-mail address during the Entry Period. The receipt of Entries will not be acknowledged.

Employees, independent contractors, interns, officers, directors, and agents of Sponsor, other companies associated with the Contest, the judges, as well as the immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, and children, and their respective spouses) and household members of any of the foregoing are not eligible to enter. In some contests Polygon moderators will be eligible for entry, as they are volunteers and receive no renumeration for their services - but only if the judgement is based upon a community vote. Should the decision rest with the community manager then moderators will be ineligible for entry.

As is always the case here giveaways of products are not, and should never be considered, endorsements of the companies involved or their products as per the Polygon Ethics Statement.

Again, you're allowed one entry, any attempts to cheat and/or make a second account will be spotted a mile off. But you wouldn't cheat, would you?

Nope. May the force be with you, and good luck.
