Klei Entertainment's new XBLA title trades chainsaws for shuriken
Mark of the Ninja is a stealth-action title which will launch this summer on Xbox Live Arcade, developer Klei Entertainment just announced. The reveal comes at the end of a clever little text-based ninja adventure which you can play through online, culminating in a trailer which depicts your literary escapades. Assuming, of course, that you didn't get shot to death. You don't get a trailer for that.
The game appears to have the same visual aesthetic of Klei's pair of Shanks, only with less stabbing -- or, to be more precise, less conspicuous stabbing. You can check out the trailer for yourself on the game's official site, provided you possess the wisdom required to pass its textual trials. We believe in you!
The following video is the pay off for that text adventure. Don't watch it if you don't want to see the trailer.
