Assassin's Creed 3 will include two-to-four-player online cooperative modes, according to the game's listing on Xbox.com. The original database entry for the title not only referenced its returning "Online Multiplayer 2 - 8," but also that it would include "Online Co-op 2 - 4." The listing has since been revised to remove any mention of the co-op functionality — but not before eagle-eyed archivists at Eurogamer snagged a screencap.
We've contacted Ubisoft to find out if the listing is on the level. In the meantime, we suggest you really think about the implications of being stabbed by four different people at the same time. Like, the only thing that could possibly be worse would be getting stabbed by five people simultaneously, but any more than that, and you'd experience diminishing returns.
